Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing has announced it will acquire the domestic operations of its biggest competitor, Uber, ending a ferocious battle for market share in the country. The combined company could be valued at 35 billion US dollars. Uber China will receive a 20 percent share in the merged entity.
