Discussion: G7 recap

After a two-day summit in Ise-Shima, Japan, G7 leaders issued a final statement setting global growth as a priority for dealing with threats to the world’s economy and security. The declaration also warned that the potential “Brexit” – British exit from the European Union – would pose a “serious threat to global growth.” Analysts have noted that while the statement addressed a broad range of topics, there were few concrete solutions. Join us for a discussion with Mr Yuan Peng in Singapore, Vice President of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations; in London, Roderic Wye, Associate Fellow of the Asia Programme at Chatham House; and in Tokyo, Takesato Watanabe, Professor Emeritus at Doshisha University.
