After the DPRK’s latest nuclear test, many are turning to China for answers. As one of the few nations with amicable relations with Pyongyang there are expectations that Beijing may be able to influence its volatile neighbor. China has concerns of its own, both over regional security and the possible environmental fallout from nuclear tests on its border. Teng Jianqun from the China Institute of International Studies and Sharon Squassoni from the Center for Strategic and International Studies discuss the possibilities of a diplomatic solution.
