Disney Resort in Shanghai isn’t without Chinese characteristics

The new Disney Resort in Shanghai is scheduled to hold its much-awaited Grand Opening in only two days, when entertainment enthusiasts could enjoy the Disney experience with plenty of local flavors. Elements of the Chinese culture have been sprinkled everywhere around the park: in one garden, the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs are represented by Disney characters; traces of the peony, China’s national flower, can be spotted on castles’ spires, floor tiles and Minnie’s skirts at the gift shop. Ahead of the high-anticipated day, CCTV takes a look at the many China-centric touches at Shanghai Disney Resort.
