Does Africa lead the world in mobile payments?

As mobile users increase in the Country, cashless transactions have increased too. In Kenya it is now common to see a mobile transaction between a customer and service provider compared to five or six years ago. Almost every commodity or service from supermarkets, car parking services, hotels and restaurants and many more all have an option of paying through mobile phone.

According to the Kenya bankers Association, an estimated 66% of Kenyans send or receive money through their mobile phones.
