The South Korean navy has fired warning shots after a patrol boat and fishing boat from the DPRK crossed into their territory this morning. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the boats violated sea boundaries, and crossed over 600 meters south of the Northern Limit Line about 7:30 a.m. local time. The boats returned to the north after the South Korean Navy issued warnings and fired five warning shots.
