‘Dr Kalam inspired young generation’ : Venkaiah Naidu

Calling it a nation’s “loss of a visionary”, Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday (July 28) paid glowing tributes to former President A P J Abdul Kalam and said the sudden death of the former President has shocked the entire nation. “He lived for the people, among the people, he was a true Bharat Ratna and lived as a Bharat Ratna, he was a statesman and not a politician. He has shown his ability in administration when he became the President of India. He conducted himself in an exemplary manner,” Naidu said. “Dr Kalam is a great son of this country, his death is an irreparable loss to the country and the people. Real tribute to Dr Kalam would be following simplicity, honesty, integrity and living for the country,” he said. “He always inspired young generation to think big and have dreams and work hard to achieve those dreams. He was a guide, motivator, philosopher and Marg darshak to the entire nation,” he added. “As the President, Dr Kalam proved to be a people’s President. He extensively travelled across the country with the mission of inspiring the students and the youth. As President, he discharged his constitutional responsibilities to perfection and to the admiration of all,” he said.
