Drivers rescued 13 hours after truck plunges off mountain

A truck veered off the road and plunged off a mountain in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Monday evening.

The truck flipped upside down after rolling nearly 50 feet down the hill in Guilin City.

Two drivers were trapped and, due to limited space, they could not reach for their cellphones to call for help.

The two men were discovered the next morning by people passing by, as traffic was sparse on the road.

The drivers were found alive after nearly two hours of rescue. They were sent to hospital and are said to recovering well.
