Drug trafficker overpowered by police on border line

A suspected drug trafficker was arrested in southwest China while he was trying to smuggle two bags of heroin cross the corder.

The man, a 38-year-old Vietnamese, was questioned by police in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, after he illegally crossed the border from Vietnam to China.

The man soon threw two bags that he was carrying to the bushes, and tried to flee.

He was overpowered by police just as he was about to cross the Chinese border again.

17.5 kilograms of heroin was seized in the operation, making it one of the largest cross-border drug trafficking cases in the region.
