East Asia Summit: Leaders seek cooperation on infrastructure

The 11th annual East Asia Summit has concluded in the Laotian capital of Vientiane. The summit focused on infrastructure development cooperation. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has joined discussions with leaders from the 10 ASEAN nations and the US, Russia, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand. They held talks on several topics including boosting financial cooperation, energy and the environment, disaster management and ASEAN connectivity. Several declarations and statements were adopted, concerning issues including infrastructure, migrant crises and human trafficking.
