Ecotourism gaining popularity in China

Yancheng wetland is one of the popular eco-tourism attractions in Jiangsu.

During the week-long National Day Holiday, the rare bird nature reserve drew tens of thousands of tourists, with its fresh air, vast open ground, and red-crowned cranes.

With mild temperature and abundant rainfall, the area is an ideal place for the cranes to spend the winter.

“I’m delighted with the beautiful natural scenery and the fresh air. Not many people here, so I can spend a relaxing holiday.”

The wetland is the first coastal wetland nature reserve in China.

It was established to protect rare birds such as red-crowned cranes since the 1980s.
