Ecuador cuts WikiLeaks founder Assange’s Internet access

The Ecuadorian government says it has partially restricted Internet access for Julian Assange, the founder of anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks who has been living in the South American country’s London embassy since mid-2012. Ecuador said WikiLeaks’ decision to publish documents impacting the US election was entirely its own responsibility, and the decision to cut Assange’s web access was not the result of US pressure.
