Egypt, France sign Mistral warships deal

Egypt signed a deal with France on Saturday to buy two Mistral amphibious assault ships originally ordered by Russia.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls.
The two Mistrals are scheduled to arrive in Egypt in March next year.
The two helicopter carriers were originally built for Russia but the contractual sale was scrapped due to the Ukraine-related sanctions.
