Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities: Luxor welcomes visitors from across the world

Chinese president Xi Jinping visited the city of Luxor as part of his two-day Egypt tour. Luxor hosts thousands of antiquities, temples and monuments dating back to ancient Egypt. But as is the case with most touristic sites, it has suffered from the absence of visitors after the latest spate of violence. CCTV News spoke with Egypt’s Minister of Antiquities, Mamdouh El Damaty, who expressed his optimism that this visit could be a much needed boost for Luxor.
