Email Threat to LA Schools Was Likely Hoax

The U.S. city of Los Angeles closed around 900 public schools on Tuesday in response to an E-mail-alleged bomb threat.
But an LA Police Department official said late in the day that the threat appeared to have been a hoax. And NYC Police Commissioner William Bratton criticized the LA decision as a “significant overreaction.”
In New York, authorities also received a similar threat to its schools but the city carried out classes as usual.
