As the conflict in Syria intensifies once again, thousands of refugees are fleeing the country’s battle zones for the safety of the Turkish border. But Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan feels his country’s role in accepting refugees is disproportionate to the West,criticizing it was hypocritical of those who had failed to stop Russian air strikes in Syria to now ask Turkey to keep its border open, pointing out that it had taken in more than 2.6 million refugees during the five-year war.He also launched a bitter attack on the United States over its support of Syrian Kurdish groups.
