Erdogan says Turks voted for stability in electing AKP to power

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that the people of the country had opted for stability, when they voted his AK Party back into power in the parliamentary election. The election was the second this year, after the previous round in June produced a hung parliament and months of instability. Erdogan also added that the result was a message to Kurdish insurgents in the restive southeast – that violence could not coexist with democracy.
