EU agrees to relocate 120,000 refugees across 28 member states

The EU has approved a deal to relocate 120,000 refugees across its 28 member states despite vehement opposition from four eastern members.

Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia, all voted against the plan, dealing a blow to the unity of the bloc.

In Latvia, some 500 people took to the streets of the capital Riga on Tuesday, opposing the decision to take in refugees to their country.
