Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday rebuked European leaders for not taking in enough asylum-seeking Syrians, despite the controversial deal on the migrant crisis agreed by Turkey and the EU last month. Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier defended the EU-Turkey deal, which has met with widespread criticism, saying that time will tell how effective the plan will be.
