Senior government ministers from European Union members met on Friday to discuss trade deals with Canada and the United States. Slovak Economy Minister Peter Ziga, whose country is holding the EU rotating presidency, said the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with Canada (CETA) is on the right track despite some remaining doubts, but a new approach would be needed for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) with the US.
