European Union member states have agreed to push through new laws, in a bid to curb financial channels used to fund terrorism. The European Union has backed proposals aimed at cutting funding to terrorists in the aftermath of the Paris attacks. The agreement includes streamlining cross-border cooperation in financial investigations, monitoring suspicious transactions and swiftly freezing the assets of anyone suspected of funding or participating in violent extremism.
