On her first trip to the Mainland 40 years ago, Ms. Annie Wu Suk-ching had a taste of the most authentic spicy dishes from Hunan Province, also known as “Mao’s banquet”, and decided immediately to bring those delicacies back to Hong Kong where her family ran well-known chain restaurants. Consequently, Prince Charles even got to sample Mao’s favorites in the middle of his stay in Hong Kong. That was only one of the many exciting moments for Annie in her relations with the Mainland. Today, she is a member of CPPCC Standing Committee.
