A delegation from Egypt’s investment ministry has just concluded a visit to China, preparing for the upcoming G20 summit in Hangzhou where the Arab country will be participating as a guest of honor. China currently ranks as the 23rd largest foreign investor in Egypt, but there are more than 1,200 Chinese companies established in the country. The country is now hoping to play a key role in China’s One Belt, One Road Initiative as it looks to encourage greater infrastructure investment. But how high are the risks for international and Chinese investors from ongoing security and terrorism threats? CCTVNEWS sat down with the country’s recently appointed Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid.
