Papua New Guinea, a tiny Pacific island country of some 8 million people, is known for its beaches, coral reefs and scuba diving, as well as an immense cultural and biological diversity. But did you know that over 800 indigenous languages are spoken there, more than any other country in the world? Papua New Guinea is now aiming to team up with a much bigger player – China – and drum up investment in various industries ranging from mining to infrastructure and agriculture. CCTVNEWS sat down for an exclusive interview with Prime Minister Peter O’Neill in Beijing.
