Expert on allegations that U.S. spied on Japan

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has urged the United States to look into allegations made by the WikiLeaks website that the U.S. had spied on the Japanese government and major companies.

The documents posted by WikiLeaks also indicate that some of the information garnered could have been shared with the U.S. intelligence partners, namely, Australia, Canada, Britain and New Zealand.

An expert from the Brookings Institution has shared his views.
