Fans of Apple products from Sydney to Shanghai have queued up to be the first customers to acquire the brand’s latest mobile device, the iPhone 7. But despite the fanfare and the promotions, the release has been somewhat underwhelming. About 200 people queued up in light rain in Sydney, but there was no repeat of the general hysteria seen in previous years in Tokyo. Indeed in China, online interest has been rather muted compared to previous launches.
