Firefighters spray foam on wrong plane, cost airline $20million

After a fire alert from an aircraft at Fuzhou Changle International Airport in Fujian Province last week, firefighters rushed to the scene and sprayed foam to contain any mishap. They responded promptly but only to realize that it was the wrong plane.
And it has turned out to be an expensive mistake for Fuzhou Airlines. The company’s Boeing 737 aircraft, the victim of a mistaken identity, has suffered severe damage to its engine. The loss, according to Zhang Qihuai, vice-chairman of Beijing Aviation Law Society, has cost Fuzhou Airlines 20 million US dollars.
