A five-year overpass has been pulled down in central China’s Henan province.
It has caused public debate over its short life.
The overpass is located in Huanghe Road of Zhengzhou. It was completed in 2010, with an investment of about 1.34 million US dollars.
But from Sunday, removing work has started on the five-year overpass.
This has stirred heated discussion centering on the overpass’s short life. Some say it’s a waste of money and public resources.
In response, local authorities say the removing of the overpass is to give way to construction of a new subway.
