Footage: Typhoon Mujigae floods China’s coastal cities

A strong typhoon has made landfall in the southern province of Guangdong. Typhoon Mujigae, which is Korean for “rainbow,” brought strong winds hitting speeds of 50 meters per second at its eye. Local reporters in Haikou said that it was a struggle just to keep their eyes open in the face of so much rain. In Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, which was the first place hit by Mujigae, one reporter had to tie herself to a three-ton vehicle so she wouldn’t get blown away.
