Former Israeli president passes away at 93

Israeli media reports say former Israeli president and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Shimon Peres has passed away at the age of 93. He was in a hospital near Tel Aviv since September 13, when he was admitted after suffering a stroke. Peres was born on August 2, 1923, in Belarus. He served twice as the prime minister of Israel and twice as the country’s interim prime minister.
