France tightens security ahead of COP21

France is deploying more than 10,000 personnel to provide security for the UN Climate Change Conference which opens in Paris on November 30. Around 150 heads of state or government are expected to attend the Conference of Parties (COP) 21 for the opening day. The country’s interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve said that 8,000 police officers were being deployed on France’s air, land and sea borders to vet people entering the country.
