Free Trade Zone lures N China’s shoppers to hunt global brands

It’s like a super-sized wholesale club…

Global brands have lured Chinese bargain hunters to a high street in Tianjin Free Trade Zone.

Various kinds of goods are shipped here directly from the global suppliers, making them 20 percent to 30 percent cheaper than those in the domestic market.

Items sold here include the latest fashioned clothing, bags, costumes, food and wine to luxury cars from more than 30 countries and regions.

“The facilitation of customs clearance procedure has shortened the circulation period, which helps goods here enjoy a competitive price.”

In April 2015, Chinese State Council approved the establishment of Tianjin Free Trade Zone, the only one in China’s North, 18 months after the launch of China’s first FTZ in Shanghai.
