Fruit or football? Bouncy watermelons ‘spring’ in China

Farmers in central China’s Hubei Province have grown some odd watermelons – unbreakable and bouncy. Footages show people trying to crack them open to no avail, and throwing them on the ground, only for the fruits to spring back up. It has been reported that this kind of watermelon is wild, used as rootstock during grafting and cultivated mainly for its seeds. Have a look at these unusual watermelons.
