Fujian landslide: 19 bodies found, 20 still missing as rescue efforts continue

At least 19 bodies have been recovered as rescuers continue searching for 20 people still missing following Sunday’s landslide in Fujian Province. A further 13 people are being treated at a local hospital, with three in intensive care. Hundreds of rescuers and nine sniffer dogs have been deployed in the search at the hydroelectric plant at the site of the landslide, which saw a workers’ dormitory buried under mud and rocks. Rescue teams began to work at the site again this morning after the search was earlier called off for two hours due to heavy rain.
