Full interview: Dilma Rousseff vows to fight allegations, says her popularity will bounce back

It’s been a week since Dilma Rousseff was suspended from office. CCTV’s correspondent Paulo Cabral spoke with her in the presidential palace as Brazil’s Senate prepares for a final vote on her impeachment. Rousseff said that her popularity was severely hit over the last months by the recession and the adjustments needed to fight the economic crisis. But now she’s been removed and a provisional government is in place, she believes her popularity will bounce back. Rousseff also told CCTV that the impeachment crisis likely won’t be resolved by the Olympics in August, and she vows to fight the accusations.
