Gazans mark Eid al-Fitr with empty pockets

Muslims celebrate the end of Ramadan with three-day holiday called Eid al-Fitr, or the end of fasting.

Residents living in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are preparing for a peaceful holiday this year after last year’s holiday amid a bloody war with Israel.

But they’re welcoming the holiday with empty pockets due to the sluggish economy.
