German police arrest man over planned bomb attack

Police involved in a nationwide manhunt in Germany say they have detained 22-year-old Syrian refugee, Jaber Albakr, the man suspected of preparing a bomb attack. The local police force posted a message on social media, saying he had been arrested in the eastern city of Leipzig. Albakr, who is originally from Damascus, Syria, escaped police commandos on Saturday during a raid on his apartment in the nearby city of Chemnitz.
