Germans protest transatlantic trade deal

More than 100,000 people across Germany have taken to the streets to protest a massive transatlantic trade deal called the TTIP. Trade negotiations between the European Union and the United States have been on the rocks for months. Our panelists, Zhang Jianping from the National Development and Reform Commission, Timo Lochocki from the German Marshall Fund, and Gary Hufbauer from the Peterson Institute of International Economics discuss what’s behind the free trade protests.
