German police have arrested three Syrian men for allegedly plotting an Islamic State suicide attack in the western city of Dusseldorf. The federal prosecutor’s office says the suspects’ plan was for the two men to detonate suicide vests, and then others would shoot at pedestrians on a busy road in the city center. Two of the arrested men allegedly joined ISIL in Syria in 2014 and reached Germany via Turkey. German police say they received tips from French authorities before arresting the three suspects.
