Germany floods: Bavaria’s Weilheim district in state of emergency

The German district of Weilheim in the state of Bavaria has declared a state of emergency after heavy rain flooded large parts of a town. Emergency services and residents in Polling municipality have worked together to build temporary flood control dams to keep flood waters away from the town center. Authorities said it was too early to estimate the extent of damage caused by the floods.
