Germany promises fair investigation into Chinese student’s death

The Chinese Embassy in Germany says the German state of Saxony-Anhalt has promised a fair investigation into the death of a Chinese student. Li Yangjie, the 25-year-old victim, was found dead in the city of Dessau-Rosslau in May, and two 20-year-old suspects have been arrested. Chinese diplomats have met with Saxony-Anhalt’s state secretary of the interior ministry, and urged a fair investigation and protection of the safety of Chinese nationals.
