Girl Held Hostage In Bus, Police Take No Action

A design school student spent a harrowing 45 minutes in a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus after the crew, along with a few policemen and a mob, allegedly locked her inside the vehicle near Yelahanka police station on Wednesday night (February 24). The crew, encouraged by the policemen and mob, allegedly told the woman they would release her only if her friend, who had fled after a clash with the conductor, returned. Yelahanka police inspector NR Nagaraj allegedly told the girl not to file a police complaint when she approached the station after she was released from the bus.
