Greece suffers a Bank-shut week

Greek banks will remain closed for a week until July 6, and ATM withdrawals will be limited to 60 euros per day, according to an official decree published early Monday. The Greek official said ATMs would be closed at the beginning of Monday but would be reopened late in the afternoon.Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Sunday evening the European Central Bank decided to limit the liquidity available to the Greek banks and forced the central Bank of Greece to recommend a bank holiday and the imposition of capital controls.
