Guangdong TV (GDTV) America celebrated its fifth founding anniversary on Saturday in Los Angeles. The ceremony also marked the launch of the TV series “Gone With the Ocean,” a China-U.S. co-production that tells the story of a Chinese family chasing their dreams in America.
Shen Haixiong, publicity chief of Guangdong Province of China, a booming coastal province bordering Hong Kong, attended the ceremony. In his remarks, Shen spoke highly of GDTV’s achievements in the U.S., and expressed hopes for a better promotion of Guangdong and the Chinese culture.
Guangdong TV America has been in operation in Los Angeles since 2012, with an estimated 16 million viewers.
