Half the Japanese say ‘No’ to military bills

Opinion polls released on Monday found that support for Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is on the decline.
A weekend poll taken by Japan’s major daily Asahi Shimbun found 51 percent of the respondents to be against the controversial security bills.
The poll also showed that Abe’s approval rate slipped to a record low of 35 percent.
Many Japanese say their protests will continue until the bills are retracted.
