Sansha, a Chinese city in South China Sea, celebrated its 3rd birthday on Friday. Flag-raising ceremonies were held on Yongxing and Zhaoshu islands of the young city early Friday morning. A worker from Sichuan Province said: “I’m very excited. I won’t have any regrets in my life since I join in Sansha construction. I hope the city will be built better and better.”
Since the city was established to administer about two million square kilometers of islands and territorial waters, it has become an increasingly comfortable home for hundreds of government employees, servicemen as well as fishermen.
