Hawaii RIMPAC: China’s participation helps boost cooperation

The multi-national military exercise RIMPAC is underway in Honolulu, Hawaii. RIMPAC, hosted biennially by the US Pacific Fleet since 1971, is the world’s largest international maritime maneuver with 26 participating nations. This year, countries like Denmark, Germany and Italy are participating for the first time. China, who joined the drills for the second time, dispatched a fleet of about 1,200 troops to partake in the exercise. CCTV’s Nathan King has more on the story.
