Health authority responds to public vaccines concerns

China Food and Drug Administration has responded to public concerns on the safety of the vaccines illegally traded in the market. The authority says those vaccines, which were not properly stored or given expiry dates, will not lead to side effects or toxic reactions. It says children would only face risks from lack of protection by the vaccine. /Vaccines in China are stored before being tested in temperatures of 37 degrees Celsius for up to 4 weeks. Expiration dates are then set for 6 months less than the dates of their maximum effectiveness.
