Heavy flooding in the DPRK has damaged or destroyed 30,000 homes and affected at least 600,000 people. Video footages taken last week show hundreds of displaced residents living in temporary shelters in north Hamyong province. According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, residents are in dire need of permanent shelter and health services. Access to food and safe water is also a problem.
