Yesterday, a video, which went viral online, shows a helicopter being used to pick up a bride docked directly on Nanyuan Road in Shanghai’s Pudong District, causing pretty bad traffic jams. The traffic jam lasted for about an hour, and some drivers called the police. A police car then rushed to the scene after hearing about the incident.
According to analysis from China Wedding Industry Development Report, couples now spend an average of 76,141 yuan ($12,000) on a wedding in China. As the number of Chinese millionaires, who are the main consumers for helicopter rentals for work, family, and leisure, continue to grow, more helicopter weddings may be on the way.
